Interesting article here, via Lab Spaces.  It would seem to me that this jaw/tooth structure would serve superbly in the bone-cracking department as well.  Bone marrow, nuts and seeds provide for a good acquired energy / energy expenditure ratio.   A smart move in the evolution toward anatomically modern humans, and a move that is still reflected in our own genome.
