Do toxins exacerbate fat gain and/or fat retention?  Hell yes.  Most all toxins are lipophobic (“fat loving”), and the body’s response to the presence of these toxins is to store them away in body fat vs letting them roam freely and wreak havoc in the body.  And yes, the body will alter internal biochemistry to favor fat gain as a response to these toxins in the body.
